I’m thrilled to share the details of an unforgettable wedding day on October 12, 2024, set against the stunning backdrop of Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. This event was a beautiful blend of modern, western, and boho vibes, with a touch of country and travel-inspired elements that perfectly reflected the couple’s unique style.
The day started at the Crete Carrier Lodge, where the bride and groom prepared for the festivities.
The ceremony took place at 4 p.m., and guests gathered at the lodge for a heartfelt exchange of vows. To make this moment even more meaningful, the couple included a unity ceremony, where they hammered a box shut as a symbol of their commitment. I was also tasked with gently reminding guests to put their phones away to allow everyone to be fully present—a detail that helped keep the focus on the bride and groom and ensured I could capture the purest moments from the day.
Afterward, the celebration continued with a lively reception right there at the lodge. I made sure to get shots of the dance floor, capturing the joy and energy of the night, as well as the unique details that made this wedding so special. The couple had created a U.S. push pin board, inviting guests to mark their home states—such a personal and memorable touch! The smores bar was another highlight that added a warm, cozy feel to the evening, perfect for the fall setting.
We also ventured up to the Overlook Tower for some breathtaking footage, including shots that captured the panoramic views and the stunning natural landscape. And, of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without a grand exit at exactly 9:59 p.m., sending off the bride and groom in style.
Throughout the day, I could feel the love and support surrounding this couple, from family members to friends who came from all over the country to celebrate. As a wedding videographer, being able to document these moments—the laughter, the emotional vows, the candid smiles—is truly why I love what I do.
With a blend of rock, country, hip-hop, indie, jazz, and R&B, the music brought every scene to life, creating the perfect soundtrack for such a dynamic celebration.
