Some love stories are written from the moment two souls meet. For Chelsea and Lazerick, that moment happened long before their wedding day—they grew up together, forming a bond that turned into a beautiful love story. Their journey from childhood friends to lifelong partners culminated at the breathtaking Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa, where they said their vows in church by the people who watched their love grow over the years. They then celebrated at Reiman Gardens, voted "Best Wedding Venue of Story County" from 2016 to 2023, was the perfect setting for a story like theirs. Known for its enchanting blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue has been the backdrop for many love stories, but none quite like Chelsea and Lazerick’s. From Friends to Forever:Growing up side by side, Chelsea and Lazerick’s relationship began with the innocence of friendship. They played together, shared laughter, and supported each other through the milestones of life. Over time, that childhood bond deepened, turning into a connection neither could deny. Their love blossomed, built on the foundation of trust, shared memories, and unwavering companionship. As their relationship evolved, it became clear that they were meant to spend their lives together. After years of love and growth, they chose Reiman Gardens as the place to celebrate their forever. The Big Day: Their wedding was on August 3, 2024, was a celebration of not just their love, but their journey together. The couple chose a modern inspired theme that beautifully reflected their roots and personalities. With 94 of their closest family and friends in attendance, the day was intimate, joyful, and full of love. Chelsea and Lazerick wanted every candid smile and heartfelt reaction to be documented, showcasing the people who had been part of their journey from the start. First Looks & Ceremony: One of the most special moments of the day was the first look at the Gateway Hotel. Lazerick’s face lit up as he saw Chelsea in her stunning gown, and that moment was filled with all the emotions of a love that had stood the test of time. The ceremony took place at Friendship Baptist Church, where they exchanged heartfelt vows in front of the people who had been part of their lives for so long. Their foot washing and sand ceremony were touching symbols of unity and commitment, reflecting the depth of their love and the future they were building together. The Reception at Reiman Gardens: As the sun set over Reiman Gardens, Chelsea and Lazerick celebrated their new chapter with a lively reception. The night was filled with dancing, heartfelt toasts from the Maid of Honor and two Best Men. Their guests laughed, cried, and danced the night away under the stars, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Their love story, which began so many years ago, had come full circle in the most beautiful way. Chelsea and Lazerick’s wedding was a day filled with love, history, and the promise of a future built on years of friendship and devotion. Reiman Gardens provided the perfect setting for their story to continue, and I was honored to capture every moment of their magical day. Their love story is a reminder that sometimes, the best love stories are the ones that grow with you.
